Fashion Victim: Nice Swastika Shawl, Ma'am

Spotted on the escalator in front of me as I was exiting the Metro this morning. At first I thought it was a pseudo-Fendi knockoff, but suddenly I realized it was much more interesting. The label: Made in China, natch.

Made in China? Possibly meant to refer to the Hindu symbol rather than That guy the teabaggers think is almost as bad as BHO.

I'm guessing it's the Chinese symbol, or the Japanese symbol, or the Korean symbol...

Probably not the Native American symbol, though.

This is the Sayagata pattern, thought to be Japanese.
In Japan the Manji (as the swastika is known there) is a symbol for Buddhist temples on maps and street signs.
Take a look at the Nike (yes NIKE) Kimono Ski Jacket and you may be surprised.
