This just in: John Paul Jones, former bassist/keyboardist for Led Zeppelin, will retire from the Supreme Court at the end of this session. His retirement will give him the chance to work with musicians more interesting than Sam Alito. Perhaps he'll collaborate with Diamanda Galas again!
Fantastic!
Who do you think Obama will nominate as a replacement? My money's on John Entwistle.

It's wonderful that the supreme court has offered a second career for so many stars. I've always admired Sandra Dee O'Connors films and was thrilled when she was nominated to the court.
I always thought he was slumming with Them Crooked Vultures.
I don't know, Obama seems eager to get the girls on, so I'm thinking Joan Jett. Someone with a J name*.
* But probably not Janet Jackson.
Obama won't do it, but the ballsiest (and best) choice possible is Bill Clinton. Dude would make an AWESOME Supreme Court justice, and prolly liven up Soto-Mayor's life a little.
Hmm... no, I really do think he should put another high-profile bass player in the Supreme Court to compensate for the one we just lost. Clinton is a saxophonist.
Oh, I think he should just go all-out crazy and nominate Sid Vicious.
The Supremes of the Heavenly Choir
Since Obama is supposed to be woman friendly in his appointments I think he should track down another former starlet. Hopefully someone who rose to prominence in Roger Corman or even Russ Myer's films.
So basically either Erica Gavin or Kitten Natividad.
Yes.
If he wants a female bass player, Tina Weymouth is an excellent choice.
Tura Satana would be a good counterbalance to Alito, but she would no doubt be labeled as "activist".
Didn't Danny Bonaduce play bass for the Partridge Family?
God knows he's familiar with the justice system.
But Kitten Natividad would also be great--with a name like that, how could Obama miss?
