Jenny Sanford's Boring Book Gets Early Release

In a Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 file photo, South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford, right, looks on as her husband Gov. Mark Sanford, takes a photo with guests at the Governor's Mansion in Columbia, S.C., during a Christmas Open House. Jenny Sanford announced Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 that she has filed for divorce, months after her husband publicly confessed an affair with Maria Belen Chapur. (AP Photo/Brett Flashnick, File)

Haw, I missed this touching, intimate moment captured by the Associated Press. Such a handsome couple! And you know Jenny is all, like, totally IS THAT HIS CHILD?? I JUST CAN'T BE SURE!!

You may recall that Jenny, shown one month ago, above, standing awkwardly and silently in the presence of her philandering husband, was much praised for not standing awkwardly and silently in the presence of her philandering husband.

But anyway, Jenny's gone and written a book about herself and how strong she is and how great she is, a role model to all women, etc. It's called Staying True and it's so good that it's coming out next month instead of April.

Cynics might say that Ballantine Books, the publisher, is simply dumping an unpromising property in a slow month in order to free up more space for their far more important Spring release schedule. Those people are mean and can't feel Jenny's pain.

Shoulders back, honey. Good posture is always in order.

I like the woman.
I certainly admire her restraint, because had that been my husband he would have been limping and speaking in a high falsetto about now.
