Junk Drawer: Tush

Click for 1200x900

Hey! Here's one of those new features I warned you about! "Junk Drawer" will be a recurring series in which I post photos and scans of stuff I have in my apartment. It could be a strange old book, the contents of a lunch box, an old family photograph...

Or Tush! I found Tush years ago in a thrift store, and it's one of the most enigmatic things in my possession. Tush is made of soft vinyl and stands about 3.5" tall. Tush appears to be some kind of promotional item, and used to emanate a baby powder smell. Here's another view of Tush:

Tush wants to help, but is not needed. Tush would like to be your friend. The EEO officer at my work advised that Tush would not be appropriate for display on my desk (I asked). I have accepted Tush as my personal savior. Have you?

I am already fabulously in love with the junk drawer.

God. Would I love to visit your apartment. Sharing its treasures is a great idea for posts.

What an apt first entry for this feature. I've seen you post some of your other personal belongings in the time I've known you Internet-wise, and I gotta say, you got some mighty fine junk in your trunk!

Tush says kiss my ass.....
so it would only be appropriate for an upper level employee, like a CEO , CFO the salaried people, top dogs.

Now you know your place in the corporate world.

Tush was mass produced? Have you ever seen another? Can you imagine that there were meetings at which people discussed eye color and the length of the lashes and which cheek should have the mouth and how much rouge there should be?

Thinking about these sorts of things are a reverie I call "Decisions made by adults getting paid." For example, I sometimes like to think about the meeting where it was decided that the word Tofurky shouldn't have an "e" in it.

I try to imagine the product this promoted and... can't get there. Observation: Tush has the most pronounced cleft chin I've yet seen. Even worse than Dr. Phil.

What's with the freckles on it? or is that dirt?

Not appropriate for the office?
Feh!
It would make a perfect pen holder.

Haw, it's dirt. I probably should have cleaned my Tush before putting it on the internet.

"The Junk Drawer" would make a fabulous coffee table book.

My life has clarity and purpose now. Rather than be of the world, I simply take pause and ponder, WWTD?

PSP, is the photo stage for Tush actually the porcelain pedestal, as it seems to be?
