First lady Laura Bush, right, is presented with a complete set of First Spouse coins by the Director of the U.S. Mint, Edmund C. Moy, left, in the East Room of the White House, during a ceremony celebrating the First Spouses Gold Coin Program, Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, in Washington. (AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais)
I bet this photo captures the exact moment after Mr. Moy chuckled and said, "There'll be one of these for you after you're dead!"
But seriously, who are they going to use for Buchanan? His niece? Ew!
OK, and also? At this same photo-op? This is weird:
First lady Dolley Madison re-enactor Lucinda J. Frailly, of Canton Ohio, speaks in the East Room of the White House during a ceremony of the First Spouses Gold Coin Program, Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 in Washington. And it just goes to show, you never know when an ordinary-sounding photo-op may take a turn for the surreal. I've seen Dolly* impersonators before, but this one's kinda frumpy.
*Ha, ha! I meant Dolley!
