That's sweet 16 Condi at the University of Denver, probably 1970 or '71. Yeah, she was one of those early over-doing-it kids. But an afro? I don't think so. Those weren't allowed in the protective cage within which our princess was carefully raised.
And finally, if I'm not mistaken, those are Dr. Scholl's sandals on her feet. Oh, Condi... you've come a long way, baby!

Yes, the dress is tres Mary Tyler Moore, but I had those sandals back in the day and they caused me a lifetime of foot tenderness and a cranky attitude.
