That's how I felt when looking at Focus on the Family's insane new parenting web site. Where do I start? What do I make fun of first? Do I make jokes, or get really upset? And, finally, what is a satirist to do when his job is being done without him? There's an embarrassment of riches.
Take the site's peculiar fixation on beating children. They're all for it, and even seem a little obsessed with it. Each topic has a list of FAQs, and each list of FAQs is dominated by ruminations on discipline. There's gonna be a lot of black 'n' blue children in the Bible belt (as if there aren't enough already).
I could easily devote every future post in this blog to this monstrosity. But... seriously... I don't know where to start.
EDIT: OK, I decided to start by registering as a member so that I could participate in their forums. I did have a brief stumble in the registration process:
Stay tuned!
